The Daily Show – Regent Uni’s Unholy Alliance with the White House
As reported earlier, in this Bill Maher segment, Regent University is a tier four school with more than 150 alumni hired to federal government positions since President Bush took office in 2001. Like most evil in the world, a protestant fundamentalist is behind this scandal. The almighty Pat Robertson founded the “Christian” law school in...

Earth Day
Timeline: The Frightening Future of Earth
By Andrea Thompson
and Ker Than
Our planet's prospects for environmental stability are bleaker than ever with the approach of this year’s Earth Day, April 22. Global warming is widely accepted as a reality by scientists and even by previously doubtful government and industrial leaders. And according to a recent report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), there is a 90 percent likelihood that humans are contributing to the change....

Today's Tragedy
I do not know how to blog about what happened today at Virginia Tech, or if I should even try. I don't believe in comparing tragedies but there were thirty some people killed in Iraq today. The terror that happened today in the United States happens in Bagdad and other areas of Iraqi on a daily basis. We just got through a week of pointless media frenzy over Imus and his racist statements and now we will have to hear about who this murder or murders in Virginia was for God knows how long. All the while the spotlight will be off of the colossal failings in Iraq and the blatant corruption in the Bush administration. Inappropriate as ever, Dubya had to get in his "people have the right to bear arms" statement. It has not even been 24 hours yet, and he has to get a pro-gun quip in. What an ass.

Neon Bible
My good friend Jeremy was wondering what I thought of Arcade Fire's latest album, Neon Bible. Currently I have not been able to put it down. While I have an idea, I am not sure exactly what the song Intervention is about but the energy and emotion strikes something very raw and personal. It is a darker collection than Funeral. The anger and foreboding that somehow becomes hopeful by the end. I love that it was recorded in a church in Quebec. Arcade Fire is quickly becoming my newest favorite band. I would love to see them live, so if you find Neon Bible to be as incredible as I do we should try to see them sometime. I have not been to any live show since 2004, so I am dying to see anything, but Arcade Fire would be a guaranteed worth your money. While I love every song on here are my top five favorites:
1. (Antichrist Television Blues)
2. Intervention
3. The Well and the Lighthouse
4. No Cars Go
5. Black Mirror
Let me know what you think Jeremy.
